Water bursts from the ground at an enemy's feet, inflicting 128,250 to 141,750 Frost damage to all enemies within 2.5 yds and increasing their Frost damage taken by 12% for 10 sec.
Get Away!
Lei channels, pushing players away and inflicting 49,500 periodic Shadow damage. Players who fight the current take half damage. Lasts 30 sec or until Lei takes 4% of her max health in damage.
Hide
Lei hides from players. While hiding she cannot be targeted, but area of effect attacks can still hit her. Lei will reveal herself after she is struck by enough attacks.
Protect
Lei surrounds herself with an inpenetrable bubble and animates several elementals to protect her. She will maintain the bubble until one of her elementals is defeated.
Strategy
The boss has one key damaging ability and periodically uses one of three other abilities that hinder the raid in some fashion. The main ability is called Spray. This does 130k (135k) frost damage to everyone within 2.5 yards of the current main tank, and it applies a stacking debuff that increases frost damage taken by 11% (10%) per stack for 10 seconds. Three tanks may be required because of this ability. No raider should be standing on the main tank, and the tanks will need to swap after 10-15 stacks. The boss never melees, so Spray is the only source for consistent main tank damage.
There is a mechanic which enhances Spray called Afraid. For each 10% health lost, the boss casts 8% faster. This means she'll be casting Spray faster and faster as the fight progresses, meaning the stacks ramp up pretty fast. Near the end of the fight, the boss will be casting Spray about every 0.5 seconds. Because of this, you may need 3 tanks, and Bloodlust/Time Warp should be used for the final 10-15%.
There are also three"gimmick" abilities. First is Hide. This boss disappears, cannot be targeted, and is hidden somewhere in the area. The only way to make the boss reappear is to have her get hit by enough AoE attacks. Therefore, the raid must spread out and use AoE. If a member notices he/she is doing damage, he/she must inform the raid to group up. A flashing light also appears in this location letting the raid know where to go after the boss takes some damage.
The second "gimmick" ability is Get Away!. The boss moves to the center of the room and slowly pushes everyone back, dealing 90k shadow damage to the raid every 1.5 (1) seconds for 30 seconds. The damage dealt is cut in half (i.e., 45k) if players are moving towards the boss. This ends sooner if the boss takes 4% damage. Therefore, the raid should have defensive cooldowns ready and do as much damage while moving as possible to end this mechanic.
The final ability is Protect. The boss becomes immune to all damage and spawns five Animated Protectors. These adds hit very hard, but they can be crowd controlled. Note that the boss will continue to cast Spray while protected. This mechanic ends when a single Animated Protector dies. Therefore, the raid should select one add, and all DPS burn it down. AoEing adds is pointless. Note that this "gimmick" ability only happens when the boss is at 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%.
